A must see event!
The Canadian Mathematical Society (CMS) invites the mathematical community to the 2024 CMS Summer Meeting from May 31 - June 3.
All meeting activities are taking place at the University of Saskatchewan. Four days of prize lectures, plenary speakers, scientific sessions and panels, with mini-courses on May 31.

Note: Food outlets on campus are closed during Saturdays and Sundays. To accommodate attendees, CMS arranged a lunch with the University of Saskatchewan, for an additional fee of $29 per person, per day. The lunch is an all-you-care-to-eat buffet at the Marquis Culinary Centre. The menu includes a variety of items from different food stations, freshly prepared in small batches. You can secure your lunch in advance through registration. Lunches are limited. Please note that purchased lunches are non-refundable.
Abstract Submission
Abstract submission is open. Please note you need to be registered in order to submit your abstract.
STUDC Poster Session
Students are encouraged to present a poster with a topic of their choice on Saturday, June 3. Presenters are asked to give a short (~3min) presentation to the judges.
CMS Mini Courses
Mini-courses will be held on Friday, May 31 and include topics suitable for graduate students, postdocs, and other interested parties.

SUNDAY JUNE 2 | 18:30 - 20:00
ARTS 104
The CMS Women in Mathematics committee, with local Organizers Madeline Berezowski, Manuela Golban, Juxin Liu, Chris Soteros, and Ray Spiteri will be hosting a panel discussion/pizza social on Sunday June 2 from
6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.The topic of the panel is Overcoming Adversity and Challenges for those studying/working in the Mathematical Sciences. We have invited several members of our community to share their experiences. There will also be time for questions, discussions of our own experiences and socializing over pizza!

Limited Spots Available
The Math2Power Quantum Summer School on quantum computing will be held across 2 days (May 29 and 30) in the lead up to the CMS Summer Meeting and is aimed at helping students in the mathematical sciences learn — through a combination of lectures and hands-on demonstrations — about the emerging fields of quantum computing and quantum information. At the same time, the school will create opportunities for students to learn about industry opportunities in quantum computing.

Over the two days, students will receive a broad introduction to quantum computing and quantum information as well as specific, hands-on instruction in programming languages typically used in quantum computing (such as IBM Qiskit). They will also learn about the emerging field of quantum security, including quantum-safe cryptographic schemes.
